TH Volvo Masters 2006, Thailand Country Club (5*), 17. Dec. 2006

We followed Lek and Jaidee (Chan) on the back nine. Lek and Chan started the last 9 holes both with -11. But while Jaidee made a Birdy on the par 3 with a nice long 5m put Lek did shot his ball 2 times into the water. On the hole 18 Jaidee startet with -13 but his drive landed in rough and the take out in the bunker just before the green. But also his bunker shot was to short and landed in the rough again. Finally he finished with a double boogie but still could win with -11 (next player -10).
The what is the final conclusion of this match: Would Lek not have played to risky or stressed (what ever the reason was), he could have been have finished with Jaidee and would have forced him into a final.

Jaidee in the bunker before the 18th green. He is almost loosing all his nice 3 points before the next player. But even with his bunker shot just landing short before the next bunker in the rough instead of on the green he can win with 1 point before his next competitor.
